With the popularity of Tournament Casting in the 1920's and 1930's, Hardy Brothers, in 1931, produce a very small run of their Tournament Caster.
With ribbed brass foot and ebonite handle this small and simple reel is stamped to the faceplate with maker's name and address detail.
The simplicity of this reel is that to put more pressure on the casting drum, you simply tighten the central nut located towards the rear of the reel.
This reel is one of 14 that were produced and suspect that there are only a small number that remain.
