A very neat fly storage solution, created by Richard Wheatley, to provide a compact Salmon fly reservoir. Dating from the early part of the 20th Century, this black japanned box, with cream painted interior, contains 116 nickel silver leaf springs, which are holding a collection of mainly gut eye Salmon flies.
In the lid are 2 x storage compartments to accommodate casts and there are small gauze sections for storage of moth repellent to safeguard the flies.
The box is secured by a locking pin and there is a carry handle. The retailer's rectangular name plate is applied to the front.
