One of the pinnacles of colleting angling antiques is to acquire mint, unused and sometimes boxed fishing items from yesteryear and here are some examples of this from famous and well known tackle manufacturer, Hardy Brothers of Alnwick.
Amongst the tackle on show is a mint Hardy 4" 1/2 brass face perfect, a very rare "Match Fisher" and an unused 2" 9/16 St George Junior reel, with box and war time finish from circa 1942.
Also terminal tackle such as the glass jars with their content including prawns, sand eels and some minnows.
In terms of conservation, they hall lasted well to date so I will continue with them all being kept out of sunlight, in ventilated rooms.
