Continuing on the theme of these early Salmon flies with a strong Irish theme with further examples dating from the 1820-1840 period.
Again, these early but crude patterns give us an actual window into the type of patterns that were used nearly 200 years ago. In the first example, nice to see Quetzel tied in the tail and the other example ties on a Limerick Eyed hook.
