Made out of polished mahogany, these delightful fly boxes, retailed by Hardy Brothers, offered the Trout angler and new way to store and take flies to the river and lake.
The catalogue only list four types of boxes available to the angler being the Reservoir, to hold a number of the removable bars which can be inserted into the small fly boxes, one has single and the other, double sided storage capabilities and the May Fly box.
The discovery of a custom order box by Hardy, being fitted with cork to accommodate the flies is previously unseen and now makes this set truly unique where we can safely label this as the only known set of these Club Boxes on the planet.
